1. Scope of Services

MWASI | MAMA provides holistic doula services, wellness coaching, and community events to support women at all stages of their journey, including pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Services may include birth planning consultations, tailored wellness plans, educational sessions, emotional support, group circles and workshop participation. The exact nature of services will be discussed and agreed upon during the initial consultation.

2. Payment and Fees

A deposit is required to secure your booking for doula services. This deposit is non-refundable and will be applied toward the total service fee.

Payment plans are available and can be customised based on your needs. Unless otherwise agreed upon, full payment must be completed before the estimated due date.

Full payment is due for sessions and workshops at the time of booking.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session or consultation, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be non-refundable.

For doula services, cancellations made after 38 weeks of pregnancy may not be eligible for a refund due to the preparatory work and time reserved.

If MWASI | MAMA cannot provide doula services (e.g., due to unforeseen circumstances), a qualified backup doula will be provided, or a partial refund may be issued.

4.  Prenatal Partner Involvement

I encourage birth partners to participate in all prenatal sessions to ensure they feel confident and prepared to support you during labour. Additional resources for partners are available upon request.

5. Backup Doula Introduction Clause

Suppose I am unavailable during your labour due to unforeseen circumstances. In that case, you can meet your designated backup doula in advance to ensure comfort and continuity of care.

6. Confidentiality

Your privacy is important to us. All personal information shared during sessions, consultations, or group circles will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent except as required by law.

7. Limitation of Services

MWASI | MAMA doula services are non-medical. As your doula, I do not perform clinical tasks such as medical examinations, fetal heart checks, or diagnosing medical conditions. My role is to provide emotional, physical, and informational support.

The coaching and advice provided are intended to complement, not replace, medical advice from healthcare professionals. Always consult with your doctor or midwife regarding any medical concerns.

8. Client Responsibilities

Clients are encouraged to communicate openly and honestly about their needs, preferences, and concerns throughout our time together.

You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information about your health and pregnancy status.

Participation in group circles and events requires respectful and supportive behaviour toward all attendees. Disruptive or inappropriate conduct may result in removal from the event without a refund.

9. Community and Events Policy

MWASI | MAMA offers community circles and workshops as a safe, inclusive space for sharing and connection. Attendees are expected to maintain confidentiality and respect others' privacy.

Events may be subject to change or cancellation. In such cases, you will be notified as soon as possible, and any payments made will be applied to future events or refunded upon request.

10. Liability Waiver

By engaging MWASI | MAMA services, you acknowledge and accept that there are inherent risks in pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. While I strive to provide the highest level of support and care, you agree that MWASI | MAMA is not liable for any complications, outcomes, or unexpected events that may occur during your pregnancy or birth.

11. Wellness Add-on

Clients of MWASI | MAMA receive exclusive access to discounted rates for wellness workshops, community circles, and private events designed to support your mental and emotional health.

12. Rest Period and Availability Clause

While I am on-call during the two weeks before and after your estimated due date, I may require short rest breaks during long labours or events. During these times, I will ensure another member of your birth team or your designated support person is present.

14. Cultural Competence and Inclusivity

MWASI | MAMA is committed to providing culturally competent care. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, beliefs, and identities, ensuring that services respect and celebrate your unique needs and traditions.

15. Client Feedback and Improvement

After the completion of services, clients will be invited to provide feedback to help improve future offerings. Your insights are valued and will contribute to the ongoing growth of MWASI | MAMA.

16. Changes to Terms

MWASI | MAMA reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes, and the updated terms will be posted on our website.
